Once, a man found the cocoon of a butterfly. One day a tiny opening showed up. He sat down and watched the butterfly for hours as it tried to come through this tiny opening. Later on, the butterfly stopped. It was obvious that the butterfly couldn't come through it... Then, the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and released the butterfly by cutting the cocoon. The butterfly came out easily but its body was swollen and its wings were peaky. The man kept watching the butterfly hoping that its wings would grow quickly to sustain its body. That never happened. In fact, the butterfly never flew. It spent the rest of its life crawling around.
What the man could not understand was that the cocoon and the effort by the butterfly to come through the tiny opening was the only way to squeeze the liquid from the body to the wings, so that they would be ready to fly when it would come through the opening at last.

Sometimes, the great efforts are exactly what we need in our life. Living our lives without obstacles troubling us we would never get as strong as we need to be and so we would never fly.
